Features of production
The wine is made from 100% Barbera grapes.
The Barbera grape is grown in our own vineyards in the hills.
It produces on average 80 quintals of grapes per hectare which is about 55 hectoliters of wine.
Exposure: mainly south, south-east.
Type of cultivation: espalier with Guyot pruning.
Grape harvest
In the las decade of September, the grapes are harvested, which are carefully selected and collected in perforated boxes, are immediately brought to the winery for wine-making-
Wine-making and ageing
In the winery, the grapes are destemmed and the subsequent fermentation of the same in stainless steel tanks, continues for about fifteen days at a controlled temperature. After racking, we proceed with malolactic fermentation. The wine in stainless steel tanks of various capacities lasts six months. After a short period of about 3 months in the bottle, the wine is commercialized.
Organolectic features
Colour: intense ruby red.
Bouquet: persistent hints of violets and ripe fruit.
Taste: pleasant, harmonious, full-bodied, with good acidity that gives freshness.
Average life of wine
Up to five years if properly stored.
Alcohol scale
13,5% vol.
